Guy has significant teaching (including lectures, seminars, and tutorials), supervision, pastoral care, and module development experience – across a range of subject areas.

Thematic elements of his previous teaching include:

  1. Understanding space and place; the ’spatial turn’; GIS applications

  2. Economics and ethics; the history of economic thought (from Smith to Chicago)

  3. Development of the modern world; ’Revolutions’; industrialisation

  4. Skills for successful academic study

Guy currently supervises one PhD student, with another under recruitment. He has previously supervised MSc students on working on ‘Geospatial Data Science and Urban Systems’ projects.
